We are looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable tutors to work as part of our team to provide a positive atmosphere for learning for children aged 5-16 years old. If you are able to do some of the available hours we would love to hear from you. All applicants must either have, or be prepared to obtain, a WCC check.
Each teacher is employed on a part-time sessional basis. You will work with groups of young people (age 5-16) in an after-school tuition centre. Classes are 2-hours (after-school) or 4 -hours (Saturday& Sunday). The children are tutored in English, Mathematics, Creative Writing, General Ability and Science depending on their age and you will be expected to teach the subjects appropriate to the group with whom you are working.
Professional qualifications equal to those accepted by the NSW Dept of Education willingness to sit a test to assess suitability for various levels and subjects clearance through Child Protection check
Do you enjoy working with young people but lack the experience to work in a school? We are looking for volunteers to join our team. All applicants must either have, or be prepared to obtain, a CRB check.
Helping children to improve their reading, writing or basic Maths is a demanding yet rewarding experience, which requires tact, patience and a regular commitment. Our volunteer tutors act as helpers to tutors to teach children aged 5-16 years old in groups. Volunteer tutors usually work for 2 or more hours a week and may help with English, Science, General ability or Maths.
